Lisa Jo Elliott earned a Bachelor’s of Arts from the University of Arizona in Psychology with a minor in Interdisciplinary Studies (Communication). She then attended New Mexico State University where she earned a Master’s and Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology with an emphasis in Engineering Psychology. During her graduate school years, she worked at IBM (Santa Teresa Lab) and the D.O.D. She found her academic home at Penn State (Erie, The Behrend College) where she researches all things related to experience design and usability, and teaches psychology and data visualization.
